Rybelsus 14mg is a type 2 diabetes medication that lowers blood sugar levels. It is marketed by the generic name Semaglutide. This FDA-approved oral medicine is only suitable for adults. Individuals who receive this prescriptive medicine must ensure that they are following a strict diet and exercising regularly.
Besides Rybelsus, you can purchase Semaglutide under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy.
Managing diabetes becomes easier with the help of Rybelsus. It improves blood glucose control and maintenance. Since this medicine is not a first-line therapy for patients with diabetes, healthcare professionals only prescribe it when other diabetes medications do not work.
Warning and Precautions
Avoid Rybelsus treatment if you have been previously diagnosed with the following diseases:
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Thyroid cancer
Endocrine neoplasia type 2 (gland tumors)
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it, most especially to Semaglutide. Note that hypersensitivity can be fatal.

Dosage
This medicine is only suitable for adults. However, your healthcare professional will still need to check your weight and medical history. The daily dose for Rybelsus is as follows:
Consume 3 mg of Rybelsus per day – for 30 days.
For dosage maintenance, your daily dose will increase to 7 to 14mg per day.
Note: You need to follow the same dosage requirement to prevent cardiovascular problems. The maximum dose for Rybelsus is 14 mg per day; however, it is not recommended.
